The sooner you begin your search, the better your chances of being reunited with your lost pet. Take the following steps to improve your chances of finding your pet:

    San Diego Humane Society only holds pets found in the cities of Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, Imperial Beach, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach and Vista.

  2. Search Your Neighborhood: Eighty percent of lost pets are found within a mile of their home. It is important to immediately check your neighborhood, quick action and personal involvement are key components of recovering your lost pet.
